Make a romantic printable craft symbolizing the unfolding love between the two of you with a personalized love note.
The note slowly unfolds to read:
"There is... something special... unfolding between us.”
A perfect small surprise for your girlfriend/boyfriend if you just started dating and don't want to be too mushy yet. You can also use other wording if you want to be super mushy.
You can add "There is always" if you've been together for a longer time or you can personalize each word to say what you want to say.
A heart-shaped bow and ribbon adds the final touch to a visual representation of your unfolding love.

The template should be printed on heavy cardstock US Letter or A4 Paper sizes. See paper size comparison for more info on A4 size paper. Check printer settings in the instructions below.

Download the personalized template PDF above. Click file to unzip. Right click on PDF to Open With > Adobe Reader.
Click and highlight the wording in the PDF form fields to personalize with your own names and message on the front & back.
Print on standard weight paper.

In Adobe Reader, select File > Print (page 2 only) and make sure Page Scaling is set to NONE. Print page 3 on the back of page 2 by reinserting the page properly to print on the back. Since every printer is different, you may need to test print direction by drawing an arrow on the corner with a pencil. Print page 4 normally.

Use the paper clip (or back of a butter knife) to score the fold lines. The fold line guides are the green dashed lines. Line up the paper clip on the fold line guide, then place the ruler next to it to keep straight.
Push down and slide clip along guide lines. Repeat for each fold line.

Once all fold lines are scored, use the craft knife and ruler to cut out each piece.
When cutting, keep the cut path slightly inside of the line so that you do not see white around the edges.

After each piece is cut out, place the red ribbon pieces aside for later.
Turn over the personalized paper so that the "unfolding" text is on top then fold in half as shown.

Fold in half again as shown. Flatten by pressing along fold with your fingernail.

Fold in half again but keep your thumb holding the bottom flush and then press to fold top. Keep bottom as flush as possible when completing fold.

Fold the red heart bow piece in half along scored line. Flatten by pressing along fold with your fingernail.

Fold the center in half along the scored line and the two bottom pieces as shown.

Insert a pen to round and shape the heart bow. Roll back and forth to curl the paper.

Repeat to curl the other side of the heart bow which is the top of the heart.

Grab the bottom and turn upside down. Use a piece of transparent tape to hold heart bow bottom together.

Push the top of the heart down and pinch the center between your fingers to curl paper evenly on both sides into a heart shape.

Fold the ribbon on the scored lines. Wrap around note with the back of the note facing up. Use a piece of double sided tape to attach ribbon.

Place another piece of double sided tape on the bottom of the heart bow and attach to ribbon on a slight angle as shown.

Curl each side of the ribbon with the pen as shown to complete.

Done! Go and surprise your special someone.
