This golden stuffed french toast recipe takes a romantic breakfast to another level with a cream cheese and strawberry spread mixed with chopped strawberries in between the thick sliced bread.
French toast is a popular and delicious breakfast choice at home with a batter made from whole milk, eggs, vanilla, and brown sugar.
The cinammon adds extra flavor that some like or dislike so you may want to ask before making. I’ve always made it with cinammon but this is an ingredient you can omit and still have an amazing traditional french toast.

Some extra toppings include whipped cream, more strawberries, or maple syrup. These toppings really aren’t needed but they are optional based on preference.
Let your stuffed french toast cool for 2 minutes before serving and then cut in half to showcase the cream inside and surprise the one you love.
Strawberry spread that is organic and Non-GMO without added sugars. Refrigerate after opening. Use what you can find at your local grocery, but this makes a perfect strawberry cream cheese stuffing for the french toast.

After mixed fully, stir in the chopped strawberries.
Heat butter on low heat (4) in a frying pan until fully melted and the pan heats up while completing the next steps.

Spread the strawberry cream cheese stuffing on one slice of bread. Place the other slice on top.

In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinammon for the batter.

Dip in the batter and let sit for 10 seconds. Turn over and let the other side sit in batter for 10 seconds.

Lift onto heated pan. Repeat step 7 for the second one and sprinkle the cinammon on top since there is less in batter.
Cook for about 4 minutes on each side or until golden.

Let cool for 2 minutes and cut in half to serve.
