A paper craft recipe stand makes your favorite recipes easier to read while cooking and off the counter so spills won't ruin them. Many people use a tablet in the kitchen for recipes but it can be annoying when the screen locks with dirty hands or just the risk of an expensive device around messy ingredients. A piece of paper is much cheaper to replace than a device if you do have a mishap.
It may seem old fashioned, but having the printed version of a recipe collected in a binder with sheet protectors is a great way to stay organized with your favorites. A view binder will allow you to print your own cover sheet and slide it on the front. Save the recipe to a computer first so you’ll always have a copy and then print it for the binder to have access to both. This really helps when you are searching for meal plans for the week or to make something special for your beloved.
This recipe stand folds flat and has 2 punched holes to fit inside the front of a binder for storage when not in use. The design is simple but useful.
The four colors options are: grey, black, red, and blue. Pick the color that best fits your kitchen decor. Make an extra one to store in the back of the binder in case there is a spill or mishap.

A small piece of transparent tape on the front tabs provide extra strength. You can also place tape on the bottom to protect from any spills. A clear laminating sheet can also be used to fully cover both sides and last longer.
Simple photo instructions are provided below to make your own FREE recipe stand.
Get the free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® PDF viewer to open and print this file properly on your computer. The free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® app for iOS or Android is required to fill PDF forms if using a mobile device. A computer is much simpler for printing if you have the option. The template should be printed on heavy cardstock US Letter or A4 Paper sizes. See paper size comparison for more info on A4 size paper. Check printer settings in the instructions below.
Download the personalized template PDF above. Click file to unzip. Right click on PDF to Open With > Adobe Reader.
Choose a color and note the page number for that color.

In Adobe Acrobat Reader, select File > Print (click the Pages button to choose the page of the color) and make sure Scale is set to 100%.
Select printer settings to cardstock or heavy paper at best quality and print on cardstock paper. These settings are usually accessed by the Printer button at the bottom left. Then the Print button.

Use the bone folder or back of butter knife to score the fold lines which are the blue dashed lines as a guide.
Line up the scoring tool on the fold line guides then place the ruler next to it to keep straight. Push down and slide along guide lines multiple times to crease the paper. Repeat for each fold line.

Cut along the line using a utility knife and ruler. Line up the knife where you will begin the cut and then place the ruler equally on both sides for a straight cut.
Cut out the optional bottom piece if using.

Fold in half along the score line as shown.

Using a hole punch tool, punch out both white circles so it fits in the binder ring.

Apply double sided tape to the optional bottom pieces as shown.

Carefully align the bottom piece to the inside white area. This gives the stand some additional strength and a dash of color on the inside.
When standing, the white side will show under the recipe if these pieces are not added.

Optionally, you can also place a piece of transparent tape on the edge of the tab and fold it over for more strength.

Your recipe stand is complete.
Place your recipe on the stand and see how far the stand tabs need to be spread. It also works best if the recipe is slightly curved when in the stand.
Place the stand in a binder for storage.

Sturdy 2.5” binder set includes 50 sheet protectors and 12 category tab dividers to gather all of your favorites in one place. Wrap around cover graphics include cooking tips and measurement conversion chart.
More InfoAn economy view binder allows you to print your own cover on a sheet of paper and slide it onto the front and side. Sturdy rings hold about 150 recipes with sheet protectors.
More InfoProtect your prized recipes and keep them from getting soiled while cooking. Look for acid free so they won’t yellow the paper and no print transfer so that when you need to remove them, the ink or toner won’t come off onto the plastic.
More InfoUse to laminate both sides of the stand to protect from any mishaps in the kitchen. This is optional as you can always print another one if needed.
