Learn more about your partner with a dreamcatcher as a simple way to share your dreams and goals for the future together. A solid relationship has a shared vision created with honesty, support, and commitment to turn their dreams into reality.
Traditionally, a dreamcatcher is meant to catch bad dreams and nightmares. That might be a separate conversation, but this is meant to be a little more positive activity and catch good dreams. The activity of sharing dreams is the main point rather than giving your soulmate a paper dreamcatcher that does not compare to the beauty of a real one. If cutting out a piece of paper for this seems cheesy, purchase a real one and go through the same ideas below.
Personalize with your names on the feather paper and an optional tag that states:

Slips of paper make up the feathers at the bottom to write down your dreams and goals. There is space for about 4-6 dreams on each of the feathers. You both may be surprised with something unknown about your partner.
Sit down facing each other at the dinner table, a picnic, or any other quiet setting for one hour without interruption. You can take longer if you need to. Grab two pens so you can each write down something personal.
Not only do you have a great conversation as you compare your dreams, but also a written record to help you remember. Keep those dreams in front of your eyes as a reminder of what you are both working hard for. You can hang it up on a wall or keep it safely hidden.
Take actionable steps towards fulfilling the dream. A goal is a dream with a future completion date and a willingness to see what actions must be done daily or weekly to achieve it. What will you do to make it a reality? For example, your spouse has always dreamed of playing the guitar. Now you have a great Christmas or birthday gift idea. Research some guitar lessons for beginners. Give your beloved time to practice by cheerfully carving out time daily or weekly in a busy calendar. Do more of the chores to free up her time and focus. It won’t happen without an understanding that this goal is meaningful and worth the effort to make a dream come true.
You can make your dreams a reality with mutual support, work, love, and sacrifice.
One year from now, flip through your couples dreamcatcher again to see how much you've accomplished together. Make a new one and add new dreams and goals.
Never stop dreaming together.
